BULB REPLACEMENT
Lamp assembly condensation
Exteriorlampsareventedtoaccommodatenormalchangesinpressure.
Condensationcanbeanaturalby-productofthisdesign.Whenmoistair
entersthelampassemblythroughthevents,thereisapossibilitythat
condensationcanoccurwhenthetemperatureiscold.Whennormal
condensationoccurs,athinfilmofmistcanformontheinteriorofthe
lens.Thethinmisteventuallyclearsandexitsthroughtheventsduring
normaloperation.Clearingtimemaytakeaslongas48hoursunderdry
weatherconditions.
Examplesofacceptablecondensationare:

Presenceofthinmist(nostreaks,dripmarksordroplets)
Finemistcoverslessthan50%ofthelens
•
Examplesofunacceptablemoisture(usuallycausedbyalampwater
leak)are:
•
Waterpuddleinsidethelamp
Largewaterdroplets,dripmarksorstreakspresentontheinteriorof
thelens
•
Takeyourvehicletoadealerforserviceifanyoftheaboveconditionsof
unacceptablemoisturearepresent.
Using the right bulbs
Replacementbulbsarespecifiedinthechartbelow.Headlampbulbs
mustbemarkedwithanauthorized“D.O.T.”forNorthAmericaandan
“E”forEuropetoensurelampperformance,lightbrightnessandpattern
andsafevisibility.Thecorrectbulbswillnotdamagethelampassembly
orvoidthelampassemblywarrantyandwillprovidequalitybulbburn
time.
