TheIAkeyalsocontainsa
removablemechanicalkeyblade
thatcanbeusedtounlockthe
driverdoor.Toreleasethe
mechanicalkeyblade,pressthe
releasebuttonsontheedgeofthe
transmitterandremovethekey
blade.
YourIAkeysareprogrammedto
yourvehicle.Youcannotenteror
startyourvehiclewithanunprogrammedkey.Ifyouloseoneorbothof
yourIAkeys,replacementsareavailablefromyourauthorizeddealer.
FormoreinformationonprogrammingreplacementIAkeys,refertothe
SecuriLock௡passiveanti-theftsystemsectioninthischapter.
Note:Yourvehicle’sIAbackupkeys
wereissuedwithasecuritytagthat
providesimportantvehiclekeycut
information.Itisrecommendedthat
youkeepthetaginasafeplacefor

POWER DOOR LOCKS
Thepowerdoorlockcontrolis
locatedontheinstrumentpanel
neartheradio.
Pressthecontroltolock/unlockthe
doors.Whenthelightonthebutton
isonitindicatesthatalldoorsand
thetrunkarelocked.Whenthelight
isoffitindicatesoneormoredoors
areunlocked.
Reardoorunlocking/opening
Pulltheinteriordoorreleasehandletwicetounlock/openthereardoor.
Thefirstpullunlocksthedoorandthesecondpullwillunlatchthedoor.
Smart locks
Thisfeaturehelpstopreventyoufromlockingyourselfoutofthe
vehicle.
Iftheinteriorpowerdoorlockcontrolispressedwhilethedriveror
frontpassengerdoorisopenwiththekeyintheignition,alldoorlocks
willlock,andthenunlock.
