area.Thepaintsealantwill“gray”orstainthepartsovertime.
PAINT CHIPS
Yourauthorizeddealerhastouch-uppainttomatchyourvehicle’scolor.
Takeyourcolorcode(printedonastickerinthedriver’sdoorjamb)to
yourauthorizeddealertoensureyougetthecorrectcolor.

Removeparticlessuchasbirddroppings,treesap,insectdeposits,tar
spots,roadsaltandindustrialfalloutbeforerepairingpaintchips.

Alwaysreadtheinstructionsbeforeusingtheproducts.
ALUMINUM WHEELS AND WHEEL COVERS
Aluminumwheelsandwheelcoversarecoatedwithaclearcoatpaint
finish.Inordertomaintaintheirshine:

CleanweeklywithMotorcraft௡WheelandTireCleaner(ZC-37-A),
whichisavailablefromyourauthorizeddealer.Heavydirtandbrake
dustaccumulationmayrequireagitationwithasponge.Rinse
thoroughlywithastrongstreamofwater.

Neverapplyanycleaningchemicaltohotorwarmwheelrimsor
covers.
Someautomaticcarwashesmaycausedamagetothefinishonyour
wheelrimsorcovers.Industrial-strength(heavy-duty)cleaners,or
cleaningchemicals,incombinationwithbrushagitationtoremove
brakedustanddirt,couldwearawaytheclearcoatfinishovertime.

Donotusehydrofluoricacid-basedorhighcaustic-basedwheel
cleaners,steelwool,fuelsorstronghouseholddetergent.
Toremovetarandgrease,useMotorcraft௡BugandTarRemover
(ZC-42),availablefromyourauthorizeddealer.
ENGINE
Enginesaremoreefficientwhentheyarecleanbecausegreaseanddirt
buildupkeeptheenginewarmerthannormal.
Whenwashing:

Takecarewhenusingapowerwashertocleantheengine.The
high-pressurefluidcouldpenetratethesealedpartsandcause
damage.
