Fastrestartfeature:Thefastrestartfeatureallowsyoutore-start
yourvehiclewithin10secondsofswitchingthevehicleoff,ifavalidIA
keyisnotpresentwhenthevehicleisswitchedoff.Youcanre-startthe
vehicle(byapplyingthebrake/clutchpedalandpressingthe
START/STOPbutton)forupto10seconds,eventhoughtheIAkeyis
notpresent.After10secondshaveexpired,youcannolongerstartyour
vehiclewithouttheIAkeypresentinsidethevehicle.Ifthedriverdooris
openedwithinthis10seconds,thefastrestarttimerexpiresimmediately.
SwitchingthevehicleoffwhennotinP(Park):Itisrecommended
thatyoushiftintotheP(Park)positionbeforeswitchingyourvehicle
off.Ifyouswitchyourvehicleoffwiththeshifterinanypositionother
thanP(Park),themessageSHIFTTOPARKwillbedisplayedinthe
multifunctiondisplay.Ifthevehicleisleftinthisstate,yourkeyin
ignitionchimewillactivatewhenthedriverdoorisopened,andyoumay
drainyourvehicle’sbattery.Inordertoavoiddrainingyourbattery,itis
recommendedthatyoualwaysshifttoP(Park)beforeorimmediately
afterswitchingyourvehicleoff.
Absenceoftheintelligentaccesskey:Oncethevehiclehasstarted,
thevehiclewillremainrunninguntilbeingturnedoffbythe
START/STOPbutton,eveniftheIAkeyisnolongerfoundinthevehicle.
Wheneveradoorisopenedandthenclosedwhilethevehicleisrunning,
thesystemwillsearchforanIAkeyinsidethevehicleandthe
multifunctiondisplaywilldisplayKEYOUTSIDECARiftheIAkeyisno
longerpresent.Thismessageisareminderthatsomeoneelseinthe
vehiclemayhavetakentheIAkeywhenexitingthevehicle.IftheIAkey
isnolongerpresentinthevehicle,youwillnotbeabletore-startyour
vehicleoutsideoftheFastRestarttime(seeFastRestartFeature
above).ItisimportanttobeawareofwhereyourIAkeyislocatedinthe
vehicle,toavoidbecomingstrandedwithoutanIAkey.
Guarding against exhaust fumes
Carbonmonoxideispresentinexhaustfumes.Takeprecautionstoavoid
itsdangerouseffects.
WARNING:Ifyousmellexhaustfumesinsideyourvehicle,have
yourdealerinspectyourvehicleimmediately.Donotdriveifyou
smellexhaustfumes.
