diagnosticssystem(OBD-II)hasdetectedamalfunction.Referto
On-boarddiagnostics(OBD-II)intheMaintenanceandSpecifications
chapter.Ifthelightisblinking,enginemisfireisoccurringwhichcould
damageyourcatalyticconverter.Driveinamoderatefashion(avoid
heavyaccelerationanddeceleration)andhaveyourvehicleserviced
immediatelybyyourauthorizeddealer.
WARNING:Underenginemisfireconditions,excessiveexhaust
temperaturescoulddamagethecatalyticconverter,thefuel
system,interiorfloorcoveringsorothervehiclecomponents,possibly
causingafire.
Brakesystemwarninglight:To
confirmthebrakesystemwarning
lightisfunctional,itwill
momentarilyilluminatewhenthe
ignitionisturnedtotheonposition

whentheengineisnotrunning,orinapositionbetweenonandstart,or
byapplyingtheparkingbrakewhentheignitionisturnedtotheon
position.Ifthebrakesystemwarninglightdoesnotilluminateatthis
time,seekserviceimmediatelyfromyourauthorizeddealer.Illumination
afterreleasingtheparkingbrakeindicateslowbrakefluidlevelora
brakesystemmalfunctionandthebrakesystemshouldbeinspected
immediatelybyyourauthorizeddealer.
WARNING:Drivingavehiclewiththebrakesystemwarning
lightonisdangerous.Asignificantdecreaseinbraking
performancemayoccur.Itwilltakeyoulongertostopthevehicle.
Havethevehiclecheckedbyyourauthorizeddealer.Drivingextended
distanceswiththeparkingbrakeengagedcancausebrakefailureand
theriskofpersonalinjury.
