WARNING:Snowtiresmustbethesamesize,loadindex,speed
ratingasthoseoriginallyprovidedbyFord.Useofanytireor
wheelnotrecommendedbyFordcanaffectthesafetyand
performanceofyourvehicle,whichcouldresultinanincreasedriskof
lossofvehiclecontrol,vehiclerollover,personalinjuryanddeath.
Additionally,theuseofnon-recommendedtiresandwheelscould
causesteering,suspension,axleortransfercase/powertransferunit
failure.
Thetiresonyourvehiclemayhaveall-weathertreadstoprovidetraction
inrainandsnow.However,insomeclimates,youmayneedtousesnow
tiresandchains.Ifyouneedtousechains,itisrecommendedthatsteel
wheels(ofthesamesizeandspecifications)beused,aschainsmaychip
aluminumwheels.
Note:Thesuspensioninsulationandbumperswillhelppreventvehicle
damage.Donotremovethesecomponentsfromyourvehiclewhenusing
snowtiresandchains.
Followtheseguidelineswhenusingsnowtiresandchains:

Ifpossible,avoidfullyloadingyourvehicle.
UseonlySAEClassScablesorequivalentonP235/60R17or
P235/55R18tiresonthefronttiresonly.SAEClassSchainsorother
conventionallinkchainsmaycausedamagetothevehicle’swheel
houseand/orbody.Useofoptionalspikespidertypetractiondevices
orequivalentisalsoacceptable.

Donotinstalltirechains,cablesoroptionaltractiondevicesonthe
reartires.Thiscouldcausedamagetothevehicle’swheelhouseor
body.

Donotusetirechains,cablesoroptionaltractiondeviceswith
optionalP255/45R19orP245/45R20tires.
Installtirecablessecurely,verifyingthatthetirecablesdonottouch
anywiring,brakelinesorfuellines.

Donotexceed30mph(48km/h)withtirecablesonyourvehicle.
Drivecautiously.Ifyouhearthecablesruborbangagainstyour
vehicle,stopandretightenthecables.Ifthisdoesnotwork,remove
thecablestopreventdamagetoyourvehicle.

Removethetirecableswhentheyarenolongerneeded.Donotuse
tirecablesondryroads.
