Whenthebatteryisdisconnectedoranewbatteryisinstalled,the
automatictransmissionmustrelearnitsshiftstrategy.Asaresult,the
transmissionmayhavefirmand/orsoftshifts.Thisoperationisconsidered
normalandwillnotaffectfunctionordurabilityofthetransmission.Over
time,theadaptivelearningprocesswillfullyupdatetransmissionoperation.

Useonlya12–voltsupplytostartyourvehicle.
Donotdisconnectthebatteryofthedisabledvehicleasthiscould
damagethevehicle’selectricalsystem.

Parktheboostervehicleclosetothehoodofthedisabledvehiclemaking
surethetwovehiclesdonottouch.Settheparkingbrakeonbothvehicles
andstayclearoftheenginecoolingfanandothermovingparts.
4.
Checkallbatteryterminalsandremoveanyexcessivecorrosionbefore
youattachthebatterycables.Ensurethatventcapsaretightandlevel.
5.
Turntheheaterfanoninbothvehiclestoprotectfromanyelectrical
surges.Turnallotheraccessoriesoff.
