Forsignificantblockages(e.g.birddropping,bugsplatter,snow,orice),
theautomatichighbeamsystemusesablockedsensorcomputer
program.Ifablockageisdetectedandnochangesareobserved,the
systemwillgointolowbeammodeuntiltheblockageiscleared.If
blockagesarerepeatedlydetected,thesystemwillstayinlowbeam
modefortheremainderoftheignitioncycleunlessthesystemisableto
begindetectingothervehiclesagain.
Ifitappearsthatautomaticcontrolofthehighbeamsisnotfunctioning
properly,checkthewindshieldinfrontofthecameraforblockage.
Flash-to-pass
Pullandreleasetoactivate.
Daytime running lamps (DRL)  (if equipped)
Turnstheheadlampsonwithareducedoutput.
Toactivate:

theignitionmustbeintheonposition,
theheadlampcontrolisintheoff,autolampsorparkinglampposition
and

thetransmissionmustbeoutoftheP(Park)position.
WARNING:Alwaysremembertoturnonyourheadlampsat
duskorduringinclementweather.TheDaytimeRunningLamp
(DRL)systemdoesnotactivatethetaillampsandgenerallymaynot
provideadequatelightingduringtheseconditions.Failuretoactivate
yourheadlampsundertheseconditionsmayresultinacollision.
