serviceor,ifyouareamemberofaroadsideassistanceprogram,your
roadsideassistanceserviceprovider.
Itisrecommendedthatyourvehiclebetowedwithawheelliftand
dolliesorflatbedequipment.Donottowwithaslingbelt.FordMotor
Companyhasnotapprovedaslingbelttowingprocedure.
OnFWDvehicles,ifyourvehicleistobetowedfromthefront,ensure
properwheelliftequipmentisusedtoraisethefrontwheelsoffthe
ground.Therearwheelscanbeleftonthegroundwhentowedinthis
fashion.
Ifyourvehicleistobetowedfromtherearusingwheelliftequipment,it
isrecommendedthatthefrontwheels(drivewheels)beplacedona
dollytopreventdamagetotheautomatictransmission.
OnAWDvehicles,itisrequiredthatyourvehiclebetowedwithawheel
liftanddolliesorflatbedequipmentwithallthewheelsoffthegroundto
preventdamagetotheautomatictransmission,AWDsystemorvehicle.
