levelislow.Inverycoldweather,do
notfillthereservoircompletely.
Onlyuseawasherfluidthatmeets
Fordspecifications.Donotuseany
specialwasherfluidsuchas
windshieldwaterrepellenttypefluid
orbugwash.Theymaycause
squeaking,chatternoise,streaking
andsmearing.Referto
Maintenanceproductspecificationsandcapacitiesinthischapter.
Stateorlocalregulationsonvolatileorganiccompoundsmayrestrictthe
useofmethanol,acommonwindshieldwasherantifreezeadditive.
Washerfluidscontainingnon-methanolantifreezeagentsshouldbeused
onlyiftheyprovidecoldweatherprotectionwithoutdamagingthe
vehicle’spaintfinish,wiperbladesorwashersystem.
WARNING:Ifyouoperateyourvehicleintemperaturesbelow
40°F
(5°C),usewasherfluidwithantifreezeprotection.Failure
tousewasherfluidwithantifreezeprotectionincoldweathercould
resultinimpairedwindshieldvisionandincreasetheriskofinjuryor
accident.
