ThedriverandfrontpassengerBelt-Minder௡featurescanbe
deactivated/activatedbyperformingthefollowingprocedure:
Beforefollowingtheprocedure,makesurethat:

ThegearshiftisinP(Park).
Theignitionisoff.
Thedriverandfrontpassengersafetybeltsareunbuckled.
WARNING:Whilethedesignallowsyoutodeactivateyour
Belt-Minder௡,thissystemisdesignedtoimproveyourchancesof
beingsafelybeltedandsurvivinganaccident.Werecommendyou
leavetheBelt-Minder௡systemactivatedforyourselfandotherswho
mayusethevehicle.Toreducetheriskofinjury,donot
deactivate/activatetheBelt-Minder௡featurewhiledrivingthevehicle.
1.
Switchtheignitionon.DONOTSTARTTHEENGINE.
2.
Waituntilthesafetybeltwarninglightturnsoff(approximatelyone
minute).
3.
Wait10secondsafterthesafetybeltwarninglightturnsoff.

Step4mustbecompletedwithin20secondsafterthecompletionof
Step3.

Fortheseatingpositionbeingdisabledbucklethenunbucklethesafety
beltthreetimesatamoderatespeed,endingintheunbuckledstate.

AfterStep4,thesafetybeltwarninglightwillbeturnedonforthree
seconds.
5.
Withinapproximatelysevensecondsofthelightturningoff,buckle
thenunbucklethesafetybelt.
•
ThiswilldisabletheBelt-Minder௡featureforthatseatingpositionifit
iscurrentlyenabled.Asconfirmation,thesafetybeltwarninglightwill
flashfourtimespersecondforthreeseconds.
•
ThiswillenabletheBelt-Minder௡featureforthatseatingpositionifit
iscurrentlydisabled.Asconfirmation,thesafetybeltwarninglightwill
flashfourtimespersecondforthreeseconds,followedbythree
secondswiththelightoff,thenfollowedbythesafetybeltwarning
lightflashingfourtimespersecondforthreesecondsagain.
