to20seconds,eventhoughtheIAkeyisnotpresent.After20seconds

haveexpired,youcannolongerstartyourvehiclewithouttheIAkey

presentinsidethevehicle.

SwitchingtheVehicleOffwhennotinPark:Itisrecommendedthat

youshiftintotheP(Park)positionbeforeswitchingyourvehicleoff.If

youswitchyourvehicleoffwiththeshifterinanypositionotherthanP

(Park),themessageSHIFTTOPARKwillbedisplayedinthemessage

center.Ifthevehicleisleftinthisstate,yourkeyinignitionchimewill

activatewhenthedriverdoorisopened,andyoumaydrainyour

vehicle’sbattery.Inordertoavoiddrainingyourbattery,itis

recommendedthatyoualwaysshifttoparkbeforeorimmediatelyafter

switchingyourvehicleoff.

AbsenceoftheIntelligentAccesskey:Oncethevehiclehasstarted,

thevehiclewillremainrunninguntilbeingturnedoffbythe

START/STOPbutton,eveniftheIAkeyisnolongerfoundinthevehicle.

Wheneveradoorisopenedandthenclosedwhilethevehicleisrunning,

thesystemwillsearchforanIAkeyinsidethevehicleandthemessage

centerwilldisplayNOKEYDETECTEDiftheIAkeyisnolonger

present.Thismessageisintendedasareminderthatsomeoneelseinthe

vehiclemayhavetakentheIAkeywhenexitingthevehicle.IftheIAkey

isnolongerpresentinthevehicle,youwillnotbeabletore-startyour

vehicleoutsideoftheFastRestarttime(seeFastRestartFeature

above).ItisimportanttobeawareofwhereyourIAkeyislocatedinthe

vehicle,toavoidbecomingstrandedwithoutanIAkey.

Guarding against exhaust fumes

Carbonmonoxideispresentinexhaustfumes.Takeprecautionstoavoid

itsdangerouseffects.

WARNING:Ifyousmellexhaustfumesinsideyourvehicle,have

yourdealerinspectyourvehicleimmediately.Donotdriveifyou

smellexhaustfumes.

Important ventilating information

Iftheengineisidlingwhilethevehicleisstoppedforalongperiodof

time,openthewindowsatleast1inch(2.5cm)oradjusttheheatingor

airconditioningtobringinfreshair.
