TheAdvanceTracsystemautomaticallyenableseachtimetheengineis
started.AllfeaturesoftheAdvanceTracsystem(TCSandESC)are
activeandmonitorthevehiclefromstart-up.However,thesystemwill
onlyinterveneifthedrivingsituationrequiresit.
Standard
Optional
TheAdvanceTracsystemincludesastabilitycontroloffbuttonlocated
ontheinstrumentpanel,astabilitycontrollightandastabilitycontrol
offlightintheinstrumentcluster.Boththestabilitycontrollightandthe
stabilitycontrolofflightintheinstrumentclusterwillilluminate
temporarilyduringstart-upaspartofanormalsystemself-check.The
stabilitycontrollightmayilluminate(flash)duringcertaindriving
situationwhichcausetheAdvanceTracsystemtooperate.Ifthe
stabilitycontrollightilluminatessteadily,havethesystemservicedbyan
authorizeddealerimmediately.Ifequippedwithamessagecenter,the
vehiclewillalsoindicateafailurewiththebrakesystem.
Note:Ifthesystemcannotbeturnedoff,refertoMyKey™intheLocks
andSecuritychapterformoreinformation.
WhenAdvanceTracperformsanormalsystemself-check,somedrivers
maynoticeaslightmovementofthebrake,and/orarumble,grunting,or
grindingnoiseafterstartupandwhendrivingoff.
WhenaneventoccursthatactivatesAdvanceTrac,youmayexperience

Aslightdecelerationofthevehicle
Thestabilitycontrollightwillflash.
Ifyourfootisonthebrakepedal,avibrationinthepedal
Ifthedrivingconditionissevereandyourfootisnotonthebrake,the
brakepedalmaymoveasthesystemsapplieshigherbrakeforces.You
mayalsohearawhooshofairfromundertheinstrumentpanelduring
thisseverecondition.
