avoidseverebrakeapplication,easethevehiclebackontothe
pavementonlyafterreducingyourspeed.Donotturnthesteering
wheeltoosharplywhilereturningtotheroadsurface.
Itmaybesafertostayontheapronorshoulderoftheroadandslow
downgraduallybeforereturningtothepavement.Youmaylose
controlifyoudonotslowdownorifyouturnthesteeringwheeltoo
sharplyorabruptly.
Itoftenmaybelessriskytostrikesmallobjects,suchashighway
reflectors,withminordamagetoyourvehicleratherthanattempta
suddenreturntothepavementwhichcouldcausethevehicletoslide
sidewaysoutofcontrolorrollover.Remember,yoursafetyandthe
safetyofothersshouldbeyourprimaryconcern.

Ifyourvehiclegetsstuckinmudorsnowitmayberockedoutby
shiftingbetweenforwardandreversegears,stoppingbetweenshifts,ina
steadypattern.Presslightlyontheacceleratorineachgear.
YourvehicleisequippedwithTractionControl™,itmaybebeneficialto
disengagetheTractionControl™systemwhileattemptingtorockthe
vehicle.
Donotrockthevehicleiftheengineisnotatnormaloperating
temperatureordamagetothetransmissionmayoccur.
