ThetemperaturegradesareA(thehighest),BandC,representingthe
tire’sresistancetothegenerationofheatanditsabilitytodissipateheat
whentestedundercontrolledconditionsonaspecifiedindoorlaboratory
testwheel.Sustainedhightemperaturecancausethematerialofthetire
todegenerateandreducetirelife,andexcessivetemperaturecanleadto
suddentirefailure.ThegradeCcorrespondstoalevelofperformance
whichallpassengercartiresmustmeetundertheFederalMotorVehicle
SafetyStandardNo.139.GradesBandArepresenthigherlevelsof
performanceonthelaboratorytestwheelthantheminimumrequiredby
law.
WARNING:Thetemperaturegradeforthistireisestablished
foratirethatisproperlyinflatedandnotoverloaded.Excessive
speed,underinflation,orexcessiveloading,eitherseparatelyorin
combination,cancauseheatbuildupandpossibletirefailure.
TIRES
Tiresaredesignedtogivemanythousandsofmilesofservice,butthey
mustbemaintainedinordertogetthemaximumbenefitfromthem.

manufacturingplant,tiresizeanddateofmanufacture.Alsoreferred
toasDOTcode.

Standardload:AclassofP-metricorMetrictiresdesignedtocarrya
maximumloadat35psi[37psi(2.5bar)forMetrictires].Increasing
theinflationpressurebeyondthispressurewillnotincreasethetire’s
loadcarryingcapability.
