shouldalwaysproperlyweartheirsafetybelts,evenwhenanair
bagsupplementalrestraintsystem(SRS)isprovided.
WARNING:Whenpossible,allchildren12yearsoldandunder
shouldbeproperlyrestrainedinarearseatingposition.
WARNING:NationalHighwayTrafficSafetyAdministration
(NHTSA)recommendsaminimumdistanceofatleast10inches
cm)betweenanoccupant’schestandthedriverairbagmodule.

deployingairbagcanresultinseriousarmfracturesorother
injuries.
Stepsyoucantaketoproperlypositionyourselfawayfromtheairbag:

Moveyourseattotherearasfarasyoucanwhilestillreachingthe
pedalscomfortably.
Reclinetheseatslightly(oneortwodegrees)fromtheupright
position.
WARNING:Donotputanythingonorovertheairbagmodule.
Placingobjectsonorovertheairbaginflationareamaycause
thoseobjectstobepropelledbytheairbagintoyourfaceandtorso
causingseriousinjury.
WARNING:Donotattempttoservice,repair,ormodifythe
airbagsupplementalrestraintsystem(SRS)oritsfuses.Seeyour
authorizeddealer.
WARNING:Modifyingoraddingequipmenttothefrontendof
thevehicle(includingframe,bumper,frontendbodystructure
andtowhooks)mayaffecttheperformanceoftheairbagsystem,
increasingtheriskofinjury.Donotmodifythefrontendofthe
vehicle.
