Thisprogramshouldbeselectedoncetheneed
foraspecialprogramhaspassed.Oncethe
specialprogramhasbeendeselected,allofthe
vehicle'ssystemswillreturntotheirnormal
settingsexceptforHDC.HDCwillremainactive
ifitwasselectedmanually.
ThisgeneralprogramalsoallowstheActive
Drivelinesystem(iffitted)toautomatically
switchbetween2wheeldriveand4wheel
drive,dependentondrivingconditions.This
statuscanbeviewedinthe4x4isectionofthe
Extrafeaturesmenu.
Informationrelatingtothesuitabilityofeach
TerrainResponseprogrammeondifferent
typesofsurfacecanbefoundinthe4x4i
sectionoftheExtrafeaturesmenu.69,EXTRA

TerrainResponseselectionisviathecentre
consolebuttons,asillustrated.Usethebuttons
tomovethroughtheprogramselections.The
currentlyselectedprogramiconwillbe
displayedintheMessagecentreandthe
relevantLEDindicatorwillilluminate.
Note:Permanent4wheeldriveismaintainedin
allotherTerrainResponseprograms.

Thisprogramshouldbeused
whereafirmsurfaceiscovered
withlooseorslipperymaterial.
Note:Changingbetweenthespecialprograms
willaltervariousvehiclesettings,e.g.,engine
revswhileatthecurrentacceleratorpedal
positionmayalter,orthesteeringfeelmight
change.Thesechangesarenotdramaticbut
willbenoticeable.
Note:Fordeepsnowandgravelitis
recommendedthattheSandprogramis
selected.
