Disconnectingthebatterycanaffectanumber
ofvehiclesystems,especiallyifthereis
insufficientbatterypowerpriorto
disconnection.Forexample,thealarmmay
triggerdependingonitsstatewhenthebattery
wasdisconnected.Ifthealarmdoessound,
usetheSmartkeyinthenormalwaytodisarm
thesecuritysystem.Thewindowsmayneed
recalibratingtooperatecorrectly.
CHARGINGTHEVEHICLEBATTERY
Ifthevehiclebatteryshouldrequirecharging,
thebatterymustberemovedfromthevehicle.

BATTERYMONITORINGSYSTEM
Batterydisconnection,removaland
renewalshouldbecarriedoutonlyby
qualifiedpersonnel.Consultyour

(IPSM)continuouslymonitorstheconditionof
themainvehiclebattery.Ifexcessivebattery
dischargeoccurs,thesystemwillbegintoshut
downnon-essentialelectricalsystemsinorder
toprotectthebattery.
Usedbatteriesmustbedisposed
ofcorrectlyastheycontaina
numberofharmfulsubstances.
Seekadviceondisposalfromyour
Dealer/AuthorisedRepairerand/or
yourlocalauthority.
IftheIPSMcalculatesthatbatteryconditionis
notwithinsetparameters,thereare2levelsof
actionwhichcanbetaken.Bothlevelshavean
accompanyingmessageontheTouchscreen,
andinthecaseofthelowbatterywarning,in
theMessagecentre.
REPLACINGTHEVEHICLEBATTERY
Ifthevehiclebatteryshouldrequirereplacing,
thebatterymustberemovedfromthevehicle.
ConsultyourDealer/AuthorisedRepairer.
EnergyManagement:Willbedisplayedon
theTouchscreeniftheengineisnot
running,andsystemfeaturesarecausing
excessivebatterydischarge.After3
minutestheIPSMwillbeginshuttingdown

willresumewhentheengineisstarted.
