vehicleemissions.LandRoverfullysupports
alleffortstoprotectandmaintainambientair
quality,andencouragestheuseof
IfyourvehicleisfittedwithaDiesel
ParticulateFilter(DPF)themaximum
Sulphurcontentmustnotexceed
0.005%.Usinganincorrectfuelwill
causeseriousdamagetotheDPF.
TheSulphurcontentofdieselusedinLand
Rovervehiclesshouldnotexceed0.3%(3000
partspermillion).

DIESELENGINEDVEHICLES
Insomecountriesdieselwillcontainhigher
levelsofSulphur,whichwillrequirereduced
serviceintervalstoreducetheeffectson
enginecomponents.Ifindoubtcontactalocal

DonotuseRME(bio-diesel)exceptin
thecaseofthoseproprietarydiesel
fuelswhichcontainamixofupto7%.

RUNNINGOUTOFFUEL
Avoidrunningoutoffuel.
Useonlyhighqualitydieselfuelaccordingto
EN590orequivalent.
Ifthevehicledoesrunoutoffuel,a
minimumof4litres(1gallon)willberequired
torestarttheengine.Thevehicleshouldbeleft
withtheignitiononfor5minutesafter
refuellingbeforeattemptingtorestartthe
engine.Thevehiclewillneedtobedriven1.5-5
km(1-3miles)inordertoresettheengine
managementandmonitoringsystems.
Thequalityofdieselfuelisvariable,depending
ongeographiclocation.Alwaysusepremium
orthehighestqualityfuelavailableinyour
locality.Highqualityfuelpromotesalongerlife
foryourenginecomponents.Lowergradefuel
containshigherlevelsofsulphur,whichis
detrimentaltoenginecomponents.Iflow
qualityfuelisused,lightcolouredsmokemay
beevidentattheexhaust.
Note:Ifthevehicledoesrunoutoffuel,
seekingqualifiedassistanceisadvisable.
Prolongeduseofadditivesisnot
recommended.Donotaddparaffinorpetrolto
dieselfuels.

Takenoteofallwarningsand

totheinsideofthefillerflap.
Ifyouinadvertentlyfillyourvehiclewith
petrolinsteadofdiesel,donotattempt
tostarttheengine.ContactyourDealer/
AuthorisedRepairerimmediately.
Thefuelfillerflapislocatedontherightsideof
thevehicle,attherear.
