jewellery,beforeworkinginthe
enginecompartment.
Donottouchelectricalleadsor
componentswhiletheengineis
running,orwiththestarterswitch
turnedon.
Donotallowtoolsormetalpartsofthe
vehicletomakecontactwiththe
batteryleadsorterminals.

Pullthebonnetreleaselever,locatedinthe
leftsidefrontfootwell.
POISONOUSFLUIDS
Fluidsusedinmotorvehiclesarepoisonous
andshouldnotbeconsumedorbroughtinto
contactwithopenwounds.
Liftthebonnetsafetycatch,locatedbelow
thecentrepointofthebonnet,thenraise
thebonnet.
Foryourownsafety,alwaysreadandobeyall
instructionsprintedonlabelsandcontainers.
CLOSINGTHEBONNET
Donotdrivewiththebonnetretained
bythesafetycatchalone.
USEDENGINEOIL

Lowerthebonnetuntilthesafetycatch
engages.
Prolongedcontactwithengineoilmaycause
seriousskindisorders,includingdermatitis
andcanceroftheskin.Alwayswash
thoroughlyaftercontact.
Usingbothhands,pressthebonnetdown
untilthecatchesclick.
Checkthatbothcatchesareengagedby
tryingtoliftthefrontedgeofthebonnet.
Itisillegaltopollutedrains,water
