Wipers and washers
Note:Staticdropletsmaynotbedetectedon
theinitialstart-up.Asinglewipeshouldbe
usedtoclearthewindscreen.
Rearwiper
Thefrequencyoftheintermittentrearwiperwill
increasewhenthevehicle'sspeedincreases.
Toactivatetherainsensitivewipers,movethe
wiperstalktotheAUTOposition.The
behaviourofthesystemmaybeadjustedtothe
driver'spreferencebyrotatingthecollar(2).
Thisfeaturecanbe
enabled/disabledbyyour
Dealer/AuthorisedRepairer.
Note:Ifthewiperstalkswitchisturnedtothe
AUTOpositionthewiperswillnotoperateif
eitherofthefrontdoorsareopen.
DRIPWIPE
IftheDripwipefunctionisconfigured,the
wiperswilloperateafewsecondsaftera
wash/wipecyclehasfinished,toclearany
remainingdripsfromthewindscreen.
Note:Indryandoftensunnyconditions,
opticalinfluencesanddirtaccumulationonthe
windscreenmayresultinthewindscreen
wipersactivatinginadvertently.Topreventthis,
itisrecommendedthatundertheseconditions
thewipercontrolsarereturnedtotheOFF
position.
Thisfunctioncanbe
enabled/disabledbya
Dealer/AuthorisedRepairer.
SPEED-DEPENDENTMODE
WINTERPARKPOSITION
Frontwipers
Thewiperscanbesettoparkinahigher
positionthannormal.Thisallowsthewiper
bladestobeliftedawayfromthescreen,while
thevehicleisstationary,tolimittheriskof
freezingtotheglassandtofacilitatethe
removalofdebrisorobstructions,forexample,
snow,mud,leaves,etc.TheWinterpark
positioncanbeenabled/disabledfromthe
VehicleSet-Upmenu.See40,INSTRUMENT
PANELMENU.
Ifthevehicle'sspeeddropsbelow8km/h(5
mph)withthewipersoperating,thewiperswill
switchtothenextlowestspeed.Whenthe
vehicle'sspeedincreasestoover8km/h(5
mph),theoriginalwiperspeedsettingwillbe
restoredautomatically.
Vehicleswithoutarainsensorfittedwillalso
increasethefrequencyoftheintermittentfront
wipewhenthevehicle'sspeedincreases.
Note:Donotdrivethevehiclewiththewipers
intheWinterparkposition.Thewipersshould
alwaysbere-settotheirnormalparkposition
beforethevehicleisdriven.

Dealer/AuthorisedRepairer.
HEADLAMPWASHERS
Theoptionalheadlamppowerwashoperates
automaticallywiththewindscreenwashand
willoperateonlyiftheheadlampsareswitched
onandthereissufficientwasherfluidinthe
reservoir.
