gradient,thewaterlevelmayrise
rapidly.
TheWadesensingsystemcannot
detectthetruelevelofwaterifalayer
oficeorsnowexistsonthesurface.
Iftheexteriormirrorsareinthefold
position,Wadesensingwilloperatebut
willgivefalsereadings.
Note:Theexteriormirrorsmustbeinthe
normal(unfolded)positionwhenusingthe
Wadesensingsystem.
Ifsystemlimitationsareexceeded,theTouch
screenviewwillgreyoutandthewaterdepth
willnotbedisplayed.

throughwater.Wadesensingcanbeturnedon
andofffromtheTouchscreen4x4iorExtra
Featuresmenus.Whenselected,theTouch
screenwilldisplaycurrentwaterdepthandthe
maximumwadingdepth.Thesystemwillwarn
thedriverasthemaximumdepthforwading
approaches.Warningstaketheformof
Wadesensingissuspendedifthevehicle's
speedexceeds10km/h(6mph),orthe
gradientexceeds10°.Wadesensingwill
automaticallyreactivateifthevehicle'sspeed
dropsbackdownto10km/h(6mph).Ifthe
vehicle'sspeedexceeds30km/h(19mph)for
30seconds,Wadesensingwillautomatically
switchoff.
