TheTrafficsignrecognitionsystemis
adrivingaidonly.Itremainsthe
driver'sresponsibilitytodrivewith
duecareandattention,inamanner
whichissafeforthevehicle,its
occupantsandtheotherroadusers.
Thedrivershouldstillobserveall
otherroadsigns,roadmarkingsand
situationsthatarenotdetectedor
recognisedbytheTrafficsign
Speedlimitdetection.Acorresponding
signwillbedisplayedintheMessage
centre.
Speedalert.Whenthevehicle'sspeedis
greaterthan(orequalto)thedetected
speedlimit,aflashingredring,aroundthe
displayedspeedlimitsign,willbe
displayedintheMessagecentre.
Speedalertcanbeswitchedon/offorthe
settingscanbeadjustedtodisplayat3
differentsettings:
recognitionsystem.
TheTrafficsignrecognitionsystemusesthe
forwardfacingcamera,locatedinthebaseof
therearviewmirror.whichdetectsspeed
signs,noovertakingsignsandvariable
overheadspeedsignstodisplaysymbolsofthe
detectedsignsintheMessagecentre.Traffic
signswithextrainformation(forexample,
reducedspeedlimitsforwetroadconditions)
willalsobedetectedandcomparedwiththe
vehicle’ssystems(forexample,rainsensor,
wipers,etc.)andmayalsobedisplayedinthe
Messagecentre.Speedlimitinformationfrom
theNavigationsystemwillbedisplayedfor
roadswithnosignage.
Whenthevehicle'sspeedequalsthe
detectedspeedlimit.

limit.DependentontheInstrument
