CAUTION:Nomodificationsor

anti-theftsystem.Suchchangescould
causethesystemtomalfunction.
Singlelockingsecuresthevehicleandprevents
thedoorsfrombeingopenedfromoutside.The
doorsmaystillbeunlockedandopenedusing
theinteriordoorlocksandreleaselevers.In
thisstate,onlytheperimeter(exterior)alarmis
activated.WhenthevehicleisSinglelocked
andthealarmisarmed,thealarmwillsoundif
thebonnet,tailgateoradoorisopened.
Thereare2levelsofsecurity:
Singlelocking:Withallofthedoorsandthe
tailgateclosed,pressthelockbuttonon
theSmartkeyonce,toSinglelockthe
vehicleandactivatetheperimeteralarm.
ThealarmLEDintheInstrumentpanelwill
starttoflashandthehazardwarninglamps
willflashoncetoconfirmlocking.
Insomemarketswhereabatterybacked
sounderisfittedthefollowingactionswillalso
soundthealarm:
Thevehiclebatteryisdisconnected.
Anattemptismadetodisconnectthealarm
siren.
Power-foldmirrorswillfoldin(ifenabled).
Doublelocking:Asecondpresswithin3
secondswillDoublelockthevehicleand
activatethefullalarmsystem.Thehazard
warninglampswillflashasecondtimeto
confirmtheenhancedDoublelockstate.
Anaudibleconfirmationmayalsobegiven.
Theaudiblewarningcanbeset/disabled
viaAudiblelockwarningintheVehicle
set-upmenu.See40,INSTRUMENT
PANELMENU.
Note:Singlelockingshouldbeusedin
circumstancessuchastravellingonaferry,if
petsaretobeleftinthevehicle,orifawindow
mustbeleftopen.
DOUBLELOCKING
Neverdoublelockthevehiclewith
people,children,orpetsinside.Inthe
eventofanemergencytheywouldbe
unabletoescapeandtheemergency
serviceswouldbeunabletorelease
themquickly.
Thevehiclewillnotlockifadoor,the
tailgateorthebonnetapertureisopen,
ortheignitionisON.Nolampswillflash
andifthelockrequestisviatheSmart
key,therewillbeanaudiblemislock
warning.
Doublelockingsecuresthevehicleand
preventsthedoorsbeingopenedfrominside
oroutsideofthevehicle.Thedoorscannotbe
unlockedoropenedfrominsidethevehicle
whendoublelocked.
MakesuretheSmartkeydoesnot
remaininthevehiclepriortoclosure.If
thevehicleisinanareaoflocalisedRF
interferenceortheSmartkeyis
shieldedbymetalobjects,thevehicle
maycloseandlockwithnomeansof
openingagain.
Thisprovidesadditionalsecurityifthevehicle
isleftunattended.Thevehiclecannotbe
openedbybreakingawindowandoperating
theinteriordoorlocksandreleaselevers.
Additionally,Doublelockingalsoactivatesthe
fullalarmsystemwithintrusionsensing
(marketdependent)andtiltsensing.Whenthe
vehicleisDoublelockedthealarmwillsoundif:
RemoveanyadditionalSmartkeysfrom
thevehiclebeforelocking.
Note:Thefuelfillerflapcanbeopenedonly
whenthevehicleisunlocked.
Thebonnet,tailgateoradoorisopened.
