WhenlockingthevehiclewiththeSmartkeya
mislockcanoccurif:
Oneormoreofthedoors,thebonnetorthe
taildoorisnotfullyclosed.
Thevehicleisraisedortilted.
Insomemarketswhereabatterybacked
sounderisfittedthefollowingactionswillalso
soundthealarm:
TheignitionisON.
ASmartkeyisleftinthevehicle.
Ifanyoftheabovearepresent,thevehiclewill
NOTlockandtherewillbeanaudiblemislock
errorwarning.Thehazardwarninglampswill
NOTflashandthedoormirrors(ifenabled)will
NOTfoldin.Checkthatallofthedoors,the
bonnetandthetailgateareclosedproperly.
MakesuretheignitionisturnedOFFandlock
thevehicleagain.Ifthemislockpersists,
consultyourDealer/AuthorisedRepairer.
Thevehiclebatteryisdisconnected.
Anattemptismadetodisconnectthealarm
siren.
Note:Inthisstate,anopenwindowmaycause
thealarmtosoundduetothemovementofair
currents.Forthisreason,makesureallofthe
windowsarefullyclosedbeforeDoublelocking
thevehicle.
LOCKCONFIRMATION
GLOBALCLOSING
Ifyouareuncertainwhetherthevehicleis
lockedandarmed(eitherbySingleorDouble
locking),presseithertheSmartkeylockbutton
or,ifKeylessentryisfitted,touchanexterior
doorhandlelocksensor.Thehazardwarning
lampswillflashoncetoindicateandconfirm
thecurrentlockstatus.
Makesurenochildren,pets,or
obstructionsareinanyopenaperture
beforeoperatingglobalclosing.
Makesureallofthedoorsareclosed.Press
andholdtheSmartkeylockbuttonfor3
seconds.Thevehiclewillsinglelockandthe
alarmwillbearmedimmediately.After3
secondsanyopenwindowswillbeclosed.
Note:Ifthevehicleisnotalreadylockedand
armed,pressingthelockbuttonwillsinglelock
thevehicle.Pressagaintodoublelock,if
required.
Keylessglobalclosing(ifenabled)canbe
operatedbytouchingthedoorlocksensorfor
seconds.Thiswillalsosinglelockthevehicle

andactivatethealarm.
AUTOMATICRELOCKINGAND
RE-ARMINGOFTHEALARM
Ifadoor,thetailgateorthebonnetarenot
openedwithin40secondsofunlockingthe
vehicleviatheSmartkey,allofthedoorswill
re-lockautomaticallytothepreviouslocked
stateandthealarmwillre-arm.
Note:Thewindowswillcloseonlywhilethe
doorlocksensoriscovered.Tofullysecurethe
vehicle,continuetotouchthedoorlocksensor
untilallthewindowsarefullyclosed.
Note:Globalclosingcanbeenabledand
disabledviatheVehicleSet-upInstrument
panelmenu.See40,INSTRUMENTPANEL
MENU.
