AIRBAGSERVICEINFORMATION
Afterinflation,someairbag
Donotattempttoservice,repair,
renew,modify,ortamperwith,any
partoftheSRS.Thisincludeswiring
orcomponentsinthevicinityofSRS
components.Doingsomaycausethe
systemtotrigger,orrenderthe
systeminoperative.
componentswillbeveryhot.Donot
touchtheairbagcomponentsuntil
theyhavecooledsufficiently.
AIRBAGWARNINGLAMP
Theairbagwarninglampisdisplayedinthe
Instrumentpanelandwillilluminateasabulb
checkwhentheignitionisturnedon.See45,
AIRBAG(AMBER).
Donotuseanyelectricaltest
equipmentordevicesinthevicinityof
SRScomponentsorwiring.Doingso
maycausethesystemtotrigger,or
renderthesysteminoperative.
Ifthewarninglampindicatesthata
faultispresentinthesystem,donot
useachildrestraintonthefront
passengerseat.
Allofthefollowingoperationsshouldbe
carriedoutonlybyaDealer/Authorised
Repairer,orsuitablyqualifiedperson:
Removalorrepairofanywiringor
componentinthevicinityofanySRS
components.
Fitmentofelectrical,orelectronic,
equipmentandaccessories.
Modificationtothefrontorsidesofthe
vehicleexterior.
Ifanyofthefollowingwarninglampconditions
occur,thevehicleshouldbecheckedbyyour
Dealer/AuthorisedRepairerimmediately.
Thewarninglampfailstoilluminatewhen
theignitionisturnedon.
Thewarninglampfailstoextinguishwithin
secondsoftheignitionbeingturnedon.
Thewarninglampilluminatesatanytime
otherthanthebulbcheck,whenthe
ignitionison.

Whentheignitionisswitchedon,adiagnostic
controlunitmonitorsthereadinessofthe
system’selectricalcircuits.Theelementsofthe
SupplementaryRestraintSystem(SRS)being
