UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR VEHICLE
Raise the wind shield and reinstall the side bars as soon as
the task that requ ired their rem oval is completed and
before you retu rn to on-road driving. Both you and you r
passenger shou ld wear seat belts at all times, on-road and
off-road , regard less of whether the wind shield is raised
or folded down.

Do not drive you r veh icle on-road with the windshield
down.
Do not drive you r veh icle unless the windshield is
secu rely fasten ed, eith er up or down.
Outsid e rear view mirrors are mounted on the doors. If
you choose to rem ove the doors, see you r authorized
dealer for a rep lacem ent cowl-mounted outsid e mirror.
Federal law requ ires outsid e mirrors on vehicles for
on-road use.
Eye protection , such as goggles, should be worn at all
tim es when the windshield is down.
Be sure that you carefu lly follow the instru ction s for
raisin g the windshield . Make sure that the fold ing wind-
shield , windshield wipers, sid e bars, and all associated
hard ware and fasten ers are correctly and tigh tly as-
sembled before drivin g you r veh icle. Failu re to follow
these instru ction s may preven t you r veh icle from provid -
ing you and you r passen gers protection in some accidents.

If you rem ove the doors, store them outsid e the veh icle.
In the even t of an accid ent, a loose door may cause
person al injury.
