Improp er   alignm ent  will   not  cause   vehicle   vibration.
Vibration   may   be  a  resu lt  of   tire  and   wheel   out-of-
balance.   Prop er  balancing    will   red uce  vibration    and
avoid  tire  cupping  and  spotty   wear.
CAUTIO N!
Rep lacin g origin al  tires  with  tires  of  a differen  t size
may   resu lt   in   false    speed ometer    and    odometer
read ings.
TIRE CHAINS
Install   chains   on  rear   tires  only.   Tire  chains   may  be
installed   on all  models   excep t the  Sahara  and  Rubicon.
Follow  these recom mend ations  to  guard  against  damage
and  excessive  tire and  chain  wear:
Alignment and Balance
Poor  suspension   alignm ent  may resu lt in:

Fast tire  wear.
Use  chains   on  P225/  75R16  tires  only.  P245/  75R16,
P255/ 75R17,  P255/ 70R18, and   LT255/ 75R17 tires  do
not  provid e adequ ate  clearance.
Uneven   tire  wear,  such  as  feathering   and   one-sid ed
wear.
Vehicle pull  to  right  or left.
•  Use SAE class  “S” tire  chains  or traction  devices  only.
Tires  may  also   cause  the  vehicle   to  pull  left  or  right.
Alignm ent will  not  correct this  problem . See you r autho-
rized  dealer  for  prop er diagnosis.
Chains   must  be   the  prop er  size  for  the   vehicle,  as
recom mend ed by  the  chain  manu factu rer.
Follow
tire   chain   manu  factu rer’s  instru  ctions   for
mounting   chains.
