Spare Tire Stowage
WARN ING!
To rem ove the spare tire from the carrier, rem ove the tire
cover, if equ ipped, and rem ove the lug nu ts with the lug
wrench turning them counterclockw ise.
Do not attem pt to change a tire on the sid e of the
veh icle close to movin g traffic. Pull far enough off
the road to avoid bein g hit when operatin g the jack
or changin g the wheel.
NOTE: If you have added afterm arket accessories to the
spare tire mounted carrier, it cannot exceed a gross
weight of 50 lbs (23 kg) inclu ding the weight of the spare
tire.

Turn on the Hazard Warning Flasher.

Park on a firm level surface, avoid ice or slippery areas,
set the park ing brak e and place autom atic transm ission
in P (Park), or manu al transm ission in R (Reverse). Turn
OFF the ignition.
