The restraint must be approp riate for you r child ’s
weight and height. Check the label on the restraint for
weight and height limits.
Carefu lly follow the instru ctions that come with the
restraint. If you install the restraint improp erly, it may
not work when you need it.

used in a rear seat. A rearw ard facin g infan t
restrain t in the fron t seat may be stru ck by a

All seating positions (excep t for driver) have a auto-
matic locking retractor identified by a distinctive label.
The seat belts are designed to keep the lap portion
tight arou nd the child restraint so that it is not
necessary to use a locking clip. For the seat belt with
the autom atic locking retractor, pull the belt from the
retractor until there is enou gh to allow you to pass
throu gh the child restraint and slide the latch plate
