Windshield Washers
Cylind er Lubricant directly into the lock cylind er.
The fluid reservoir in the engine compartm ent shou ld be
checked for fluid level at regu lar intervals. Fill the
reservoir with wind shield antifreeze (not rad iator anti-
freeze) rated not to freeze at -25°F (-31°C). Operate the
system for a few second s to flush out the resid ual water.
Windshield Wiper Blades
Clean the rubber edges of the wiper blad es and the
wind shield period ically with a sponge or soft cloth and a
mild non-abrasive cleaner. This will rem ove accumula-
tions of salt or road film.
WARN ING!
Operation of the wipers on dry glass for long period s
may cause deterioration of the wiper blad es. Alw ays use
washer fluid when using the wipers to rem ove salt or dirt
from a dry wind shield . Avoid using the wiper blad es to
rem ove frost or ice from the wind shield . Keep the blad e
rubber out of contact with petroleu m prod ucts such as
engine oil, gasoline, etc.
Com mercial windshield wash er solven ts are flam -
mable. They could ign ite and burn you . Care must be
exercised when fillin g or work ing arou nd the wash er
solu tion .
