manu factu rer recom mend s engine oils that are API Cer-
tified and meet the requ irem ents of Daim lerChrysler
Material Stand ard MS-6395.
SAE 5W-20 engin e oil is recom mended for all operatin g
tem peratu res. This engin e oil improves low tem pera-
ture startin g and veh icle fuel econ omy. Your engin e oil
filler cap shows the recom mended engin e oil viscosity
for you r veh icle.
American Petroleu m Institu te (API) Engin e Oil
Identification Sym bol
Lubricants which do not have both, the engine oil certi-
fication mark and the correct SAE viscosity grad e nu m-
ber shou ld not be used .
This sym bol means that the oil has
been certified by the American
Petroleu m Institu te (API). The
manu factu rer only recom mend s
API Certified engine oils.
Materials Added To Engin e Oils
The manu factu rer stron gly recom mends against the ad-
dition of any additives (other than leak detection dyes) to
engine oil. Engine oil is an engineered prod uct and it’s
perform ance may be impaired by supplemental addi-
tives.
