MAINTAINING YOUR VEHICLE
More  than  50%  of you r  driving   is at  sustained   high
speed s during   hot  weather,  above  90°F (32°C)
CAUTIO N!
Overfillin  g  or underfillin   g  the  cran kcase  will  cause
aeration   or  loss  of  oil  pressu re.  This  could   damage
you r engin e.
Taxi, Police,  or delivery   service  (commercial  service)
Trailer  tow ing
Off-road  or  desert  driving
Change   Engin e Oil
•  If equ ipped for  and operating   with  E–85 (ethanol)  fuel
If ANYof  these apply  to you , then change  you r engine oil
at every  interval   show n in sched ule  “B” of  the “Mainte-
nance  Sched ules” section  of  this manu  al.
Road cond itions  as well as  you r kind of driving  affect the
interval  at  which  you r oil shou ld be  changed . Check  the
follow ing to  determ ine  if any  apply  to you :
Day  or night  tem peratu res  are below  32°F (0°C)
Stop  and  go driving
If none of these  apply  to you , then change  you r engine oil
at  every  interval  show n  on sched ule  “A”  of the  “Main-
tenance  Sched ules”  section  of this  manu al
Extensive  engine  idling
NOTE:    Und er no  circumstances   shou ld  oil  change  in-
tervals   exceed   6,000  miles  (10  000  km)   or  6  months
whichever   comes  first.
Driving  in  dusty  cond itions
Short  trip  driving  of less  than  10 miles  (16.2 km)
