Adding Fluid
Front/Rear Axle Fluid
Fluid shou ld be added only at filler hole until fluid
begins to run out of the hole.
Fluid Level Check
Lubricant shou ld be at bottom edge of the oil fill hole.
Drain
First rem ove fill plug (B), then drain plug (C). Recom -
mend ed tightening torqu e for drain and fill plugs is

Add lubricant only at the fill hole and only to the level
specified above.

ft.lbs. (20–34 N·m).

When rep lacin g plugs, do not overtigh ten . You could
damage them and cause them to leak .
Main ten ance After Off-Road Drivin g
After extend ed operation in mud, sand or water, or
similar dirty cond itions, have you r brake drums, brake
linings, and axle joints insp ected and cleaned as soon as
possible. This will prevent any abrasive material from
causing excessive wear or unp red ictable braking action.
