nu ts until each nu t has been tightened twice. Correct
wheel nu t tightness is 130 N·m (95 ft. lbs). If in doubt
abou t the correct tightness, have them checked with a
torqu e wrench by you r authorized dealer or at a service
station.
WARN ING!
Raisin g the veh icle high er than necessary can make
the veh icle less stab le and cause an accid ent. It could
slip off the jack and hurt som eon e near it. Raise the
veh icle only enough to rem ove the tire.

Remove jack assem bly and wheel blocks.

Remove the lug nu ts and wheel.
A loose tire or jack , throw n forw ard in a collision or
hard stop could endanger the occupants of the ve- 6
hicle. Alw ays stow the jack parts and the spare tire in
the places provid ed.

Position spare wheel/ tire on vehicle and install lug
nu ts with cone-shap ed end tow ard wheel. Lightly tighten
nu ts clockw ise. To avoid the risk of forcing the vehicle off
the jack, do not tighten the nu ts fully until the vehicle has
been lowered .

and rem ove the jack and wheel blocks.
Lower the vehicle by turning the jack screw to the left,
11. Secure the tire, jack, and tools in their prop er loca-
tions.

Finish tightening the lug nu ts. Push down on the
wrench while tightening for increased leverage. Alternate
