THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE
Win dow Lockout Switch (4 Door Models Only)
The wind ow lockou t switch (located betw een the win-
dow switches) allow s you to disable the rear wind ow
switches that are located on the back of the center floor
console. To disable the wind ow controls, press the win-
dow lockou t button downw ard . To enable the wind ow
controls, press the wind ow lockou t button upward .
REAR SWING GATE
The vacu um fluorescent (VF) display located in the
odometer area displays the word “gATE” as an ind ica-
tion of when the swing gate is not completely closed .
When the vehicle is not moving, and the swing gate is not
completely closed , the VF display will show the word
“gATE.”
Wind Buffeting
If any other active warnings are present, they will be
show n in the VF display and will also continu e to cycle.
If the vehicle is moving, three single chim es will occur if
the rear swing gate is open (one chim e for each complete
display cycle). After this, the VF display will continu e to
sequ ence only (no chim es).
Wind buffeting can be described as the percep tion of
pressu re on the ears or a helicop ter typ e sou nd in the
ears. Your vehicle may exhibit wind buffeting with the
wind ows down in certain open or partially open posi-
tions. This is a norm al occurrence and can be minim ized
by adjusting wind ow opening.
If the trip / reset button is pressed while the VF warnings
are being displayed , the VF display will revert back to
only displaying the odometer/ trip odometer mileage.
