crack ing, scuffin g, or worn spots, have the brak e
hoses rep laced immediately.
Use only manu factu rer’s recom mend ed brake fluid, refer
to Fluids, Lubricants, and Genu ine Parts for correct fluid
typ e.

Use of a brak e flu id that may have a low er initial
boilin g poin t or unidentified as to specification ,
may resu lt in sudden brak e failu re durin g hard
prolon ged brak ing. You could have an accid ent.
Be sure to clean the top of the master cylind er area before
rem oving the cap. If necessary, add fluid to bring the
fluid level up to the requ irem ents described on the brake
fluid reservoir. With disc brakes, fluid level can be
expected to fall as the brake pads wear. Brake fluid level
