purchase).Itisalsosuggestedthatuponthesaleofthevehicle,the
programmedHomelink௡buttonsbeerasedforsecuritypurposes,referto
Programminginthissection.
Programming
DonotprogramHomeLink௡withthevehicleparkedinthegarage.
Note:Yourvehiclemayrequiretheignitionswitchtobeturnedtothe
accessorypositionforprogrammingand/oroperationoftheHomeLink௡.
Itisalsorecommendedthatanewbatterybeplacedinthehand-held
transmitterofthedevicebeingprogrammedtoHomeLink௡forquicker
trainingandaccuratetransmissionoftheradio-frequencysignal.

Positiontheendofyour
hand-heldtransmitter1–3inches
cm)awayfromtheHomeLink௡

buttonyouwishtoprogram(located
onyourvisor)whilekeepingthe
indicatorlightinview.

Simultaneouslypressandhold
boththechosenHomeLink௡and
hand-heldtransmitterbuttonsuntiltheHomeLink௡indicatorlight
changesfromaslowtoarapidlyblinkinglight.Nowyoumayrelease
boththeHomeLink௡andhand-heldtransmitterbuttons.
Note:Someentrygatesandgaragedooropenersmayrequireyouto
replaceStep2withproceduresnotedintheGateOperatorand
CanadianProgramminginthissectionforCanadianresidents.

Firmlypressandholdforfivesecondsandreleasethe
programmedHomeLink௡buttonuptotwoseparatetimestoactivatethe
door.Ifthedoordoesnotactivate,pressandholdthejust-trained
HomeLink௡buttonandobservetheindicatorlight.

Iftheindicatorlightstaysonconstantly,programmingiscomplete
andyourdeviceshouldactivatewhentheHomeLink௡buttonispressed
andreleased.
•
Iftheindicatorlightblinksrapidlyfortwosecondsandthenturns
toaconstantlightcontinuewith“Programming”Steps4through
tocompleteprogrammingofarollingcodeequippeddevice(most
commonlyagaragedooropener).
