WARNING:Certainadd-ondevicessuchaslargetrailerhitches,
bikeorsurfboardracksandanydevicethatmayblockthe
normaldetectionzoneoftheRSSsystemmaycreatefalsebeeps.
TheRSSdetectsobstaclesuptosix
feet(twometers)fromtherear
bumperwithadecreasedcoverage
areaattheoutercornersofthe
bumper,(refertothefiguresfor
approximatezonecoverageareas).
Asyoumoveclosertotheobstacle,
therateofthetoneincreases.When
theobstacleislessthan10inches
(25.0
cm)away,thetonewillsound
continuously.IftheRSSdetectsa
stationaryorrecedingobjectfurther
than10inches(25.0cm)fromthe
sideofthevehicle,thetonewill
soundforonlythreeseconds.Once
thesystemdetectsanobject
approaching,thetonewillsound
again.
Whilereceivingawarning,theradiovolumewillbereducedtoa
predeterminedlevel.Afterthewarninggoesaway,theradiowillreturn
tothepreviousvalue.
TheRSSautomaticallyturnsonwhenthegearshiftleverisplacedinR
(Reverse)andtheignitionison.AnRSScontrolontheinstrumentpanel
