vehicleduetoinappropriatedriverinputfortheconditions.Aggressive
drivingonanyroadconditioncancauseyoutolosecontrolofyour
vehicleincreasingtheriskofpersonalinjuryorpropertydamage.
ActivationoftheAdvanceTracsystemisanindicationthatatleast
someofthetireshaveexceededtheirabilitytogriptheroad;this
couldreducetheoperator’sabilitytocontrolthevehiclepotentially
resultinginalossofvehiclecontrol,vehiclerollover,personalinjury
anddeath.IfyourAdvanceTracsystemactivates,SLOWDOWN.
WARNING:Ifafailurehasbeendetectedwithinthe
AdvanceTracsystem,thestabilitycontrollightwillilluminate
steadily,andyoumayhearachime.Ifequippedwithamessagecenter,
thevehiclewillalsoindicateafailurewiththebrakesystem.Havethe
systemservicedbyanauthorizeddealerimmediately.Operatingyour
vehiclewithAdvanceTracdisabledcouldleadtoanincreasedriskof
lossofvehiclecontrol,vehiclerollover,personalinjuryanddeath.
TheAdvanceTracsystemautomaticallyenableseachtimetheengineis
started.AllfeaturesoftheAdvanceTracsystem(TCSandESC)are
activeandmonitorthevehiclefromstart-up.However,thesystemwill
onlyinterveneifthedrivingsituationrequiresit.
TheAdvanceTracsystemincludes
astabilitycontrolswitchlocatedon
theinstrumentpanel,astability
controllightandastabilitycontrol
offlightintheinstrumentcluster.
Boththestabilitycontrollightand
thestabilitycontrolofflightintheinstrumentclusterwillilluminate
temporarilyduringstart-upaspartofanormalsystemself-check.The
stabilitycontrollightmayilluminate(flash)duringcertaindriving
situationwhichcausetheAdvanceTracsystemtooperate.Ifthe
stabilitycontrollightilluminatessteadily,havethesystemservicedbyan
authorizeddealerimmediately.Ifequippedwithamessagecenter,the
vehiclewillalsoindicateafailurewiththebrakesystem.

WhenAdvanceTracperformsanormalsystemself-check,somedrivers
maynoticeaslightmovementofthebrake,and/orarumble,grunting,or
grindingnoiseafterstartupandwhendrivingoff.
