AlthoughtheSSTwillmakesome
downshiftsforyou,itwillstillallow
youtodownshiftatanytimeaslong
astheSSTdeterminesthattheenginewillnotbedamagedfrom
over-revving.
Enginedamagemayoccurifexcessiveenginerevvingisheld
withoutshifting.
REVERSE SENSING SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)
Thereversesensingsystem(RSS)soundsatonetowarnthedriverof
obstaclesneartherearbumperwhenR(Reverse)isselectedandthe
vehicleismovingatspeedslessthan3mph(5km/h).Thesystemisnot
effectiveatspeedsabove3mph(5km/h)andmaynotdetectcertain
angularormovingobjects.

containedinthissection.Reversesensingisonlyanaidforsome
(generallylargeandfixed)objectswhenmovinginreverseonaflat
surfaceat“parkingspeeds”.Inclementweathermayalsoaffectthe
functionoftheRSS;thismayincludereducedperformanceorafalse
activation.
