functionreplacesthecommon
hand-heldgaragedooropenerwithathree-buttontransmitterthatis
integratedintotheinteriorofyourvehicle.Afterbeingprogrammedfor
garagedoors,theCar2Usystemtransmittercanbeprogrammedto
operatesecuritydevicesandhomelightingsystems.
WARNING:Makesurethatpeopleandobjectsareclearofthe
garagedoororsecuritydeviceyouareprogramming.Donot
programtheCar2Usystemwiththevehicleinthegarage.
DonotusetheCar2Usystemwithanygaragedooropenerthatlacks
safetystopandreversefeaturesasrequiredbyU.S.FederalSafety
Standards(thisincludesanygaragedooropenermanufacturedbefore
April1,1982).
Besuretokeeptheoriginalremotecontroltransmitterforuseinother
vehiclesaswellasforfutureCar2Usystemprogramming.Itisalso
recommendedthatuponthesaleorleaseterminationofthevehicle,the
programmedCar2Usystembuttonsshouldbeerasedforsecurity
reasons.RefertoErasingtheCar2UHomeAutomationSystem
buttonslaterinthissection.
Readtheinstructionscompletelybeforeattemptingtoprogramthe
Car2Usystem.Becauseofthestepsinvolved,itmaybehelpfultohave
anotherpersonassistyouinprogrammingthetransmitter.
