Thefactthattheairbagsdidnotinflateinacollisiondoesnotmeanthat
somethingiswrongwiththesystem.Rather,itmeanstheforceswere
notofthetypesufficienttocauseactivation.Sideairbagsaredesigned
toinflateinside-impactcollisions,notroll-over,rear-impact,frontalor
near-frontalcollisions,unlessthecollisioncausessufficientlateral
deceleration.
WARNING:Severalairbagsystemcomponentsgethotafter
inflation.Donottouchthemafterinflation.
WARNING:Iftheside
airbaghasdeployed,the
airbagwillnotfunctionagain.
Thesideairbagsystem
(includingtheseat)mustbe
inspectedandservicedbyan
authorizeddealer.Iftheairbag
isnotreplaced,theunrepaired
areawillincreasetheriskofinjury
inacollision.
