Removethedipstick,wipingitcleanwithaclean,drylintfreerag.If
necessary,refertoIdentifyingcomponentsintheenginecompartment
inthischapterforthelocationofthedipstick.(Forvehicleswiththe
EcoBoost™engine,movetheairfilterassemblyasidetoaccessthe
transmissiondipstick).
WARNING:Usegloveswhenmovingtheairfilterassembly;
componentswillbehot.
ForvehiclesequippedwiththeEcoBoost™engine,dothe
following:
A.Shuttheengineoff.
B.Cleantheareaaroundtheclamp
thatconnectstheairfilterassembly
totherubberhose(1).
