thelevertowardsyoutodeactivate.

Autohighbeams(ifequipped)
Duringnighttimedriving,theautomatichighbeamsystemautomatically
turnsonyourhighbeamsifitisdarkenoughandnoothertrafficis
present.Whenitdetectsanapproachingvehicle’sheadlightsora
precedingvehicle’staillamps,thesystemturnsoffthehighbeams(low
beamsremainon)beforetheydistractotherdrivers.
Ifthevehicleisequippedwithautomatichighbeams,thehighbeam
switchwilloperatedifferentlydependingonthestatusoftheautomatic
highbeamsystem.Eachofthepossibleoperatingscenariosaredetailed
below:
Scenario1:
Conditions-TheautomatichighbeamsystemissettoONinthe
messagecenter.Theheadlampswitchisin
(autolamps).The
automatichighbeamsystemhasturnedthehighbeamson.
Operation-Thehighbeamswitchwillnotperformanyfunction.
Scenario2:
Conditions-TheautomatichighbeamsystemissettoONinthe
messagecenter.Theheadlampswitchisin
(autolamps).The
automatichighbeamsystemhasnotturnedthehighbeamson.
Operation-Thehighbeamswitchcanbeusedtoturnthehighbeams
on.Theywillthenremainonuntiltheswitchhasbeenreturnedtothe
neutralpositionandtheautohighbeamsystemhasturnedthehigh
beamsoff.
