passengersafetybeltassembliesandattachinghardwareshould
beinspectedbyanauthorizeddealerafteranycollisiontoverifythat
theЉautomaticlockingretractorЉfeatureforchildseatsisstillworking
properly.Safetybeltassembliesshouldbeinspectedbyanauthorized
dealerandmustbereplacedifeitherdamageorimproperoperationis
noted.Failuretoreplacethebeltandretractorassemblycould
increasetheriskofinjuryinacollision.
Unbucklethecombinationlap/shoulderbeltandallowittoretract
completelytodisengagetheautomaticlockingmodeandactivatethe
vehiclesensitive(emergency)lockingmode.
Safety belt height adjustment
Yourvehiclehassafetybeltheight
adjustmentsforthefrontoutboard
seatingpositions.
Adjusttheheightoftheshoulder
beltsothebeltrestsacrossthe
middleofyourshoulder.
Toadjusttheshoulderbeltheight,
squeezethebuttonandslidethe
heightadjusterupordown.Release
thebuttonandpulldownonthe
heightadjustertomakesureitislockedinplace.
WARNING:Positionthesafetybeltheightadjusterssothatthe
beltrestsacrossthemiddleofyourshoulder.Failuretoadjust
thesafetybeltproperlycouldreducetheeffectivenessoftheseatbelt
andincreasetheriskofinjuryinacollision.
Safetybeltpretensioner
Yourvehicleisequippedwithsafetybeltpretensionersatthedriverand
frontoutboardpassengerseatingpositions.
Thesafetybeltpretensionertightensthesafetybeltsfirmlyagainstthe
occupant’sbodyatthestartofthecrash.
