points.
WARNING
NEVER use the jack from the side of the
vehicle.
Always use the complete, two piece, jack
lever throughout to minimise any accidental
contact with a hot exhaust system.
Rear jacking point:
Pushthemudflapupoverthetyretoallow
clearaccess(returnittoitscorrectposition
whenthewheelchangeiscomplete).Position
thejacksothat,whenraised,itengageswith
therearaxlecasingimmediatelybelowthecoil
springandascloseaspossibletotheshock
absorbermountingbracket.
ONLYjack the vehicle using the jack
location points described or damage to the
vehicle could occur.

Occasionally,cleanandgreasethemoving
parts(particularlytheram/pillar)toprevent
rust.
Thebottlejackoillevelshouldbecheckedat
normalservicingintervalsandifnecessary
toppedupwithanhydraulicoilwitha
viscositytoBS4231grade32andISOproof

Front jacking point:
Positionthejacksothat,whenraised,it
engageswiththefrontaxlecasing
immediatelybelowthecoilspring.Thejack
cradlemustlocatebetweentheflangeatthe
endoftheaxlecasingandthelargebracketto
whichthefrontsuspensionmembersare
mounted.
Toavoidcontamination,thebottlejackshould
alwaysbereturnedtoitsfullyclosedposition
andmustalwaysbestowedupright.
