Finally,slackentheadjustingboltby
turningit1.5turnsanti-clockwise.
WARNING
Thebrakedrumshouldnowbefreetorotate,
andthebrakesshoescorrectlyadjusted.
For safety, DONOTwork underneath the
vehicle unless it is safely parked with the
wheels chocked, or is supported by heavy
duty stands.
PROPELLERSHAFTLUBRICATION
Ensurethevehicleisparkedonfirm,level
groundandchockthewheels.
Iftheparkingbrakemovementisexcessive,
adjustasfollows:
•
Raiseonerearwheelclearoftheground
andensureitissupportedsecurelywith
anaxlestand.
•
Releasethehandbrake.
•
Cleanallthegreasenipplesonthefront
andrearpropshaftuniversaljoints(1).
Chargealowpressurehandgreasegun
withtherecommendedgradeofgrease
(see’Generaldata’)andapplytothe
greasenipples(2).
WARNING
Any additional greasing of the propshaft
MUSTbe carried out by a qualified dealer.

Tightentheadjustingbolt(3)untilbrake
drumwillnotrotate(byhand).
Furthertightentheadjustingbolttoa
torqueof25Nm(18lbf/ft)toensurethat
thebrakedrumislocked-ifthisisnotthe
case,consultaLandRoverdealer.
