Ifthetemperatureinsidethevehicleis
higherthanthatoutsidewhenyoustart
theengine,itwilltaketimefortheair
conditioningtobecomefullyeffective.Itis
besttoventilatethevehiclebyopeningthe
windowsandsettingthecontrolsto
’Maximumcooling’(seenextpage).When
thevehiclehasbeenventilated,closethe
windowsandsettheblowercontrolsfor
personalcomfort.
CONTROLS

Operatingtheairconditioningtakespower
fromtheengineandconsequently
increasesfuelconsumption.
Rotateclockwisetothefirstpositiontoturn
ontheairconditioning.Rotatefurther
(positionsIIandIII)toincreasetheflowof
conditionedairfromthefourventsinthe
lowerfascia.
Allairconditioningsystemsneedtobe
operatedforashortwhileeveryweek
(eveninwinter)tomaintaintheminpeak
condition.
NOTE: The air conditioning will only operate
with the engine running.

Theairconditioningsystemwillalso
dehumidifyair.Thesurpluswater
producedbythisprocessisexpelledfrom
thesystemviadraintubesbeneaththe
vehicle.Thismayresultinasmallpoolof
waterformingontheroadwhenthe
vehicleisstationaryandisnotacausefor
concern.

Rotateclockwise(positionsItoIII)toobtain
progressivelycoolerair.
Temperaturecontrol

Thefourairconditioningventslocatedinthe
lowerfasciacanbeadjustedtosuityour
requirements.Theadjusterinthecentreof
eachventcanbeusedtoadjustvolumeand
directionofair.Tocutoffthesupplyofair
fromanyparticularvent,slidetheadjuster
fullytotheleft.
USINGTHEAIRCONDITIONING(iffitted)
Ifyourvehiclehasbeenfittedwithanair
conditioningsystem,youmayfindthe
followingguidelinesuseful.
Airconditioningprovidesadditionalcoolingto
thevehicleinteriorandalsoreducesthe
moisturecontentoftheair.
Itisimportanttokeepthewindows,sunroof
andfreshairventsclosedduringoperation.
