IGNITIONWIRING&HTLEADCHECK

ChecktheHTleadsforinsulationcracking,or
corrosionatendcontacts.IftheHTleadsare
damaged,replacewithnewleadsofthesame
specification.
NOTE: Ensure leads are reconnected in the
correct order or the engine will misfire.

RemovetheHTleadsfromthespark
plugs.
Removetheplugsusingasparkplug
socketandratchet.
Iftheyareinpoorcondition,replacewith
newplugsofthecorrectspecification(see
’Generaldata’).

Setthesparkpluggapstothecorrect
setting(see’Generaldata’).
Fitthesparkplugsandwashers-DONOT
OVERTIGHTEN.
NOTE: Fitting incorrect grades of spark plug,
may lead to piston overheating and engine
failure.

RefittheHTleadsinthecorrectorder(as
illustration),ensuringthattheleadsare
firmlyseatedontotheplugs.
